A THANK YOU MESSAGE TO MARK MY FIRST YEAR ANNIVERSARY AS THE PRINCIPAL OF OKESUNA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL

Dear colleagues,
On 14th September, 2016, l resumed in OSHS as the Principal to take over from the retiring Mrs. Awosanya.

It's been 12 calendar months since that date and l want to thank you all for making my stay here worthwhile.

So many things have happened since my arrival and we thank God for not experiencing the negative side of life.

We also thank God that the first set of students that passed out of the school in my time had a commendable WASSCE and NECO examination experience.

Reports reaching us have also indicated that the students' results have been on the positive side.

We thank God that our two main buildings have been finally rehabilitated and ready for use.
I received a wonderful promise yesterday with regards to the buildings. They shall be formally handed over to us by the Ministry of Education sometime next week, by God's grace.

I appreciate your endurance during the period of rehabilitation. You were in an uncomfortable situation, yet you endured everything and worked well with smiles on your faces.

Some of our friends have left us to other schools due to transfer, the most recent being Mrs. Bello. We also remember Messrs Oyefolu and Adekunle and their immeasurable contributions to the growth and development of OSHS. May the Almighty God reward them adequately.

My dear friends and colleagues, l can't thank you enough for making my stay as your leader a pleasurable one. Before my arrival in the school, l heard a lot of negative news about Lagos Island teachers, but my experience with you have rubbished those negative reports.

You are not only dutiful and hardworking, you are wonderful and friendly human beings. The love and family-like setting is the envy of the people in other schools around us.

Thank you so much my brothers and sisters.
I look forward to many more years of your collaborative service delivery and homely existence in Okesuna Senior High School.

I remain yours,
S. O. Kazeem
